For Partners
A studio, a research operation, a portfolio of IP — under one roof.
House of Ideas is not a traditional venture fund. We source the ideas, build the execution roadmap, deploy the capital, and find the right person to run each venture. For partners, that means a repeatable engine for producing fundable companies — with a structural talent advantage no fund can replicate.

01 — The opportunity
Two gaps. One studio. Closed simultaneously.
India’s premier engineering institutions produce some of the most capable young talent in the world. The gap is not talent. The gap is access to structured, funded, mentored opportunities to build.
At the same time, the Indian market has significant whitespace across AI, HealthTech, EdTech, AgriTech, FinTech, ClimaTech, and more. Many obvious ideas go unbuilt because no one has the capital, structure, and talent in place simultaneously.
HoI is designed to close both gaps at once.
02 — How HoI creates value
Five operational layers, working together.
-
01
Idea Origination
A continuous research operation across 10 active domains. Ideas are validated against a six-point framework — problem clarity, market size, timing, execution path, competitive landscape, India fit — before they reach the platform or a Fellow.
-
02
Capital Deployment
HoI deploys capital from Angel to VC scale per venture, depending on stage and scope. Capital is released in phases tied to execution milestones — not committed upfront in a single tranche.
-
03
Talent Acquisition
Students from IIT, NIT, and other premier institutions apply to take ideas forward as Fellows. Selection is rigorous — we look for execution mindset, not just academic performance.
-
04
Operational Infrastructure
HoI runs operations for each venture while the Fellow is in college. Legal, finance, vendor management, basic GTM — so the Fellow can focus entirely on product and customer.
-
05
Mentorship & Roadmap
Every venture comes with a step-by-step execution roadmap built by the HoI team, plus active mentorship from HoI partners and domain advisors. Fellows are guided through the path — not left to find it.
03 — Portfolio construction
8–12 active ventures. Diversified by domain.
The studio targets 8–12 active ventures at any time across its defined domain framework. Each is sized by stage and capital requirement. Follow-on capital is evaluated per-venture as milestones are hit.
Indicative target mix at portfolio maturity.
04 — Risks & mitigants
Where the model is exposed, and how it’s protected.
HoI owns IP and runs operations — venture continues with a new Fellow.
Phased capital deployment limits downside; validation precedes listing.
Strict institutional filter and multi-stage selection process.
HoI is structured as a studio operator, not a passive investor.
Equity framework agreed upfront and documented in the Fellowship Agreement.
05 — What we’re looking for
Partners aligned on model, talent, and the long view.
- 01 Understand and believe in the venture studio model — not a traditional fund operating from a distance.
- 02 Have a long-term view on Indian institutional talent as a compounding asset.
- 03 Can contribute domain expertise, network access, or operational guidance beyond capital.
- 04 Are aligned on a portfolio approach — not betting on a single venture.
The long view
In five years, 20–30 ventures at various stages. The studio itself becomes the asset.
Some exited, some scaling, some early. The connective tissue across all of them is the same: researched ideas, structured execution, and Fellows who came from the best institutions in the country. The studio itself becomes an asset — a research operation, a talent pipeline, and a portfolio of IP-backed companies under one roof. That is what House of Ideas is building.
